San Lorenzo Valley High School Graduate

Diane McGrew, M.D. graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School in 1987. She is our first Internal Medicine physician at the Scotts Valley Office. She also cares for hospitalized patients within the Department of Internal Medicine.

Dr. McGrew attended UCSC and went on to obtain a medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. McGrew states, “I returned to the area since my husband works in the Silicon Valley and Scotts Valley is the closest location for him where the population is not quite as dense and the air is cleaner. Also, the price of living compared to quality of public schools in Scotts Valley is one of the best. Grandparents living locally to help with our small children is an added bonus given the dedication required to practice medicine.”

Dr. McGrew is looking forward to establishing her practice in Scotts Valley and enjoys taking care of adult patients of all ages, including adolescents and the elderly. She has a special interest in diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, migraines, asthma, women’s health, and preventative care. Her non-medical interests include, ballroom dancing, playing piano, and spending time with her husband and kindergarten-aged son.
