Dr. Roberts Becomes Board Certified
A specialist in our Urology Department since December 2001, Dr. Steven Roberts has recently become a Board Certified Specialist. In order to become "Board Certified", a physician must complete an accredited residency program, a written board certification exam, practice in a single community for eighteen months and submit patient and surgical logs, including any complications, for review by the American Board of Physicians. This is in addition to the many years of study leading to the M.D. degree. Upon passing the required exams a Board Certified Physician is referred to as a "Diplomate of the American Board." As a Board Certified Physician Dr. Roberts is able to provide assurance to his patients that he has successfully completed the approved educational program and evaluation that is designed to assess the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to provide the highest quality patient care in his area of specialty. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Roberts for this accomplishment.
