Santa Cruz Medical Foundation offers a Sports Medicine Program that is geared toward the physically active patient. Men and women of all ages can benefit from the rehabilitation and education offered through the program, allowing them to return to their favorite recreational activities. Our sports medicine staff has years of experience, ensuring quality care for each patient.

Program Highlights

  • Extensive exercise programs for injury rehabilitation and general health and well-being
  • Evaluation and treatment by sports therapists and athletic trainers for acute sports injuries
  • Biomechanical analysis for many activities including:
    • Running gait
    • Cycling position
    • Golf swing
    • Swimming mechanics
    • Throwing motion
  • Pilates and core stability training
  • Rehabilitation for dancers of all levels
  • Plyometric training to return an athlete to a high level sport
  • Taping and instruction on taping for joint support during activity
Our Sports Medicine Program also offers patients the opportunity to be seen for urgent athletic injuries on a same-day basis. If you need to be seen immediately for clearance to return to your sport, please call our Sports Medicine Program Hotline at 831-458-5892 and you will be directed to see one of our Sports Medicine Program physicians that same day.
